POLICE are appealing for help after a car carrying a family through Stanley was hit by an object thrown from a park.
The car was travelling along Sunny Terrace at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 24 when a youth in Oakey’s Park threw an object, which hit the front passenger door just below the window causing a dent.
Officers say a toddler was sitting in the passenger seat at the time. A spokesman said: “It has been more luck than judgement that the window wasn't hit and injury, or worse, caused to the child.2
The youth who threw the object was wearing a grey hoody and was part of a larger group in the park. Anyone with information is asked to ring PC Roberts or PC Carter at Stanley Police on 101.
