THE Kaiser Chiefs will support the Foo Fighters at their Sunderland Stadium of Light gig this summer.
The Leeds-based Indie rock act, whose I Predict A Riot has become an anthem, will be first on stage on Monday, May 25.
The show kicks off the stadium’s 2015 summer concert season.
Concert-goers are being advised to buy tickets as soon as possible before they run out.
The Stadium of Light is the only stadium venue between London and Edinburgh on the UK leg of the Foo Fighters tour.
Sunderland AFC Commercial Director Gary Hutchinson said: “The Kaiser Chiefs are a massive band and to have them support the Foo Fighters is a great coup.
“There is only a limited amount of tickets left now and we are urging fans to buy their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”
