MORE than 100 cathedral supporters have completed essential training.
Durham Cathedral workers and volunteers have taken part in sessions on health and safety, conflict management and customer service.
The courses were run by City and Guilds at Newcastle College over the last six months.
Nicky Crombie, the Cathedral’s head of human resources, said: “The experience has been very worthwhile.
“The discussions and learning that have taken place are invaluable for both staff and volunteers.”
An event to celebrate the achievement was held at the Cathedral on Thursday (January 22), with certificates handed out by Canon Paul Chandler, chair of the Cathedral Council.
