A PROPERTY agent that has supported Macmillan for the last six years is donating £10 to the charity from each sale it makes.
Venture Properties, which has five branches including in Darlington, Crook and Durham, has raised more than £9,000 for Macmillan through a variety of initiatives since 2008.
Its last fundraising event, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, saw staff take home-baked cakes and coffee out on to the streets to raise an impressive £2,900.
Now the agent is donating £10 to the charity for every property it lists, rents or sells.
Company director Carl Jenkinson said: “Anyone who has ever had the need for a Macmillan nurse will be the first to praise these remarkable people.”
Venture has pledged to raise £5,000 for the charity this year and Macmillan’s fundraising manager for County Durham, Michelle Muir, described the staff as “an amazing bunch of people”.
