POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was robbed.
The incident happened between 8.20pm and 8.30pm on Saturday, September 20, in Warwick Avenue, Whickham, Gateshead.
Two men approached the woman and grabbed at her handbag, causing her to fall to the ground.
They then left with the leather Marks and Spencers handbag that contained a brown leather purse, keys, cash and a number of bank and store cards.
The woman, aged in her 40s, suffered scrapes on her knees caused by the fall.
The offenders left the area in a small silver hatchback and are believed to be aged in their late teens, one was wearing a silver grey hood with stripes under the shoulders.
Officers are in the area carrying out enquiries.
