VISITORS to a Darlington church had a blooming good time on bank holiday Monday.
A stunning floral display brightened up St Cuthbert’s Church Hall when the Darlington Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Society returned to host its first show of the year.
The colourful event was open to the public and marked the beginning of the society’s 75th anniversary year.
The best in show was presented with a vase in memory of Joan Kidd, the late wife of former chairman Joe Kidd.
The society’s 75th anniversary celebrations will continue at its summer show, set to take place at Bondgate Methodist Church Hall in Darlington from noon until 4pm on Saturday, September 13.
