ATHLETES planning to enter the Hartlepool Big Lime Triathlon can get an insight into what it takes to compete in the endurance event.
A “Try a Tri Day” is to be held on Saturday, August 30, cover bike skills, swimming drills, transition skills, core stability and putting on and removing a wetsuit.
The session, led by British Triathlon-qualified coaches, is being held from 9am to 3.30pm and costs £20 per person. Organised by Hartlepool Council’s Sport and Physical Activity Team, it will take place mainly at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience, although there will be an open water swim from 1.30pm to 3pm at Hartlepool Marina.
The Hartlepool Big Lime Triathalon is being held on Sunday, September 21.
For more information or to provisionally reserve a place at the “Try a Tri Day” preparation event call Daniel Garthwaite on 01429-284047 or email sport.recreation@hartlepool.gov.uk
