A LATE-NIGHT call-out service to clampdown on noise nuisance will resume this weekend.
It will operate in Hartlepool from 10pm-3am on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the summer, beginning this Friday (June 6) and finishing on Saturday, August 30.
The service received 154 calls last year, and most of the complaints involved one-off incidents that environmental health staff resolved informally.
Hartlepool Council's public protection manager Sylvia Pinkney said: “Our message is that you can have a good time without making your neighbours’ lives a misery.
“Remember that if you are having a barbecue in your garden noise can carry some distance, particularly at night."
Residents can call a dedicated mobile telephone number – 07789 921338 – to report loud music, rowdy parties and other noise-related problems.
