A COLLEGE is celebrating after being named the second best in England.
New College Durham finished second, and top for the North-East, in the National Success Rate Tables, released last week by the Skills Funding Agency.
Principal and chief executive John Widdowson said: “This is a fantastic achievement by all of our staff, teachers and students.
“It is a great recognition and reward for all of their hard work over the year and sets an even higher standard for this year’s students.”
Last month, the college, based in Framwellgate Moor, Durham City, awarded its own degrees for the first time.
It will host an open event on Tuesday, May 6, from 5pm to 7pm. For further details, visit newcollegedurham.ac.uk
