MESSY CHURCH: A messy church craft and games session will be held at Willington Methodist Church on Lydia Street from 3.30pm to 5pm on Friday (April 25). All children up to the age of 11 are welcome accompanied by an adult, entry is free but there is a suggested donation of £1 per child to cover refreshments. The session’s theme will be resurrection and new life.

VILLAGE DANCE: A dance to music provided by John Beatty will be held at Escomb Village Hall from 7.30pm to 11pm on Saturday (April 26). Bring your own food and drink, entry costs £2.50, contact Des Graves on 01388-605548 for more information.

SPIRITUALIST SERVICE: Paul and Gillian Nuttall will be the speakers at Willington Spiritualist Church’s Divine Service at 6pm on Sunday (April 27). The service at the church on Chapel Street on Tuesday (April 29) will be an Open Circle starting at 7pm.

COFFEE MORNING: ST Wilfrid’s Church on Hexham Street in Bishop Auckland will hold a coffee morning in aid of the St Vincent de Paul Society from 10.30am to noon on Wednesday, April 20. Entry will cost 50p.
