FIREFIGHTERS were called out to rescue a dog that slipped down a cliff face in the Yorkshire Dales today (April 10).
The animal, a 15-year-old cocker spaniel, fell down the cliff at Whitfield Gill, near Askrigg, and its owner alerted emergency services at about 3.26pm.
Crews from Hawes, Richmond and Ripon attended and the animal was recovered uhurt.
