Durham Police: Made arrests
POLICE investigating a church hall blaze at the weekend have arrested two teenage girls.
St John's Church Hall, Meadowfield, near Durham City, was badly damaged when fire broke out early on Sunday morning.
Two 13-year-old girls have been held on suspicion of arson and bailed pending further enquiries.
Parishioners had been trying to raise money to upgrade the building, which has been closed for 18 months amid safety concerns.
