A DELIVERY driver has been robbed of a cash wallet by a man wielding an iron bar.
The 44-year-old man had returned his work van to a depot and was getting into his own car when two men approached him, one of whom was carrying the weapon.
Shocked, the driver fell backwards and dropped the A4 zip-top wallet, which the men grabbed before running off.
The man was left shaken but unhurt.
The incident happened just after 11pm on Monday (March 24) at Sunrise Enterprise Park, Ferryboat Lane, Sunderland.
Both robbers were white. One was around 5ft 5ins tall and wearing a beige hooded top.
Northumbria Police are investigating and appealing for anyone with information to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
