PARENTS and residents of Wolsingham have a chance to comment on proposals for the town’s secondary school.
Design proposals for Wolsingham School and Community College will be on display tomorrow (Wednesday, March 26) between 3.30pm and 7pm at the school on Leazes Lane.
Changes will see the majority of the curriculum taught on a single site and a new accommodation block.
There would also be an improvement in the condition and organisation of the existing building.
Ossie Johnson, Durham County Council cabinet member for children and young people, said: “We really do hope parents will take the time to share their views with us.
“Plans to remodel the school will mean children will be educated in an improved environment for learning.”
Representatives from the school, Durham County Council and the designers will be on hand to answer questions and take comments at the consultation event.
The plans will also be on display at Wolsingham Library until Monday, March 31, where there will also be the opportunity to leave comments.
Comments can also be emailed directly to the School Capital Projects Team at: scp@durham.gov.uk
