NEWCASTLE-based chartered surveyors, Harrow Consulting LLP has renewed its sponsorship of Tyneside Golf Club for the next 12 months.

It’s the fourth successive year the chartered building surveyors and architectural designers has given its support, which will see Harrow’s flag continue to fly above the club, based in Ryton Village.

Alastair Greenfield, club manager for Tyneside Golf Club, said: “It’s no secret that all sports and recreation venues are having to find ways to maximise their worth. We’re thrilled that Harrow will be supporting us through 2014 by renewing their main sponsorship.

“Attracting long term corporate partners to this extent is a tricky task for all golf courses, so we’re especially pleased to hear the partnership with Harrow continues to be a successful one for them too.”

ROCKLIFFE HALL has introduced a new membership category in response to growing demand. As well as being able to enjoy full resort membership - which includes full access to the award-winning spa and leisure facilities at the five-star resort - Rockliffe will also offer a ‘golf only’ option which provides full seven day playing rights on the championship course.

It arrives at a time when the golf club has reported its most successful year to date, bucking the national trend. As it goes into its fifth year, the number of rounds has increased by over 20 per cent compared to the same period to the end of 2012.

And with the English Senior Open set to arrive for a second year, Rockliffe Hall’s managing director Nick Holmes said: “For any new golf course it takes many years to become firmly established but we’re now reaching around 20,000 rounds of golf a year which demonstrates relatively modest growth for us as a young course.

“This year has been especially successful for us as well thanks to the English Senior Open- we never imagined less than five years after opening that we would attract such a phenomenal tour and watch it be such an incredible success."

Membership starts from £1,500 per year. For more details contact (01325) 729987, email golf.enquiries@rockliffehall.com or visit www.rockliffehall.com/golf A NORTH-EAST based charity is holding a golf day to raise money for ex-servicemen and women who leave the military with injuries.
