DOMINO DRIVE: Kirk Merrington Over 60s Club will hold a whist and domino drive on Saturday (January 4) at 2pm in Kirk Merrington Village Hall. Admissions costs £2 including refreshments.
SCOUT SUCCESS: Anna Barrass, 13, a member of the Howden-le-Wear Scouts Group has been chosen as one of 18 Scouts from County Durham to attend the global Scouts jamboree in Japan in 2015.
BIKE MARKING: Police in Crook will be marking bikes for free on Saturday, January 4, from 10am to 2pm at the Co-op on New Road. The procedure will mean bikes can be quickly linked to their correct owner if they are stolen.
ART CLASSES: A fortnightly art class will start at the Community Centre on Butterwick Road in Fishburn on Monday, January 13. The sessions run from 1pm to 3pm with the course costing £24 for five classes. ROCK NIGHT: Blackjack and Phoenix Row will perform at a classic rock night being held at Crook Town Football Club on Saturday, February 1, from 7pm to 11.45pm. Entry will cost £2.
