AN TEENAGER has won a prestigious photography award.
Alicia Hayden, 14, from Spennithorne, Leyburn, North Yorkshire, won the Making Life Better category of the RSPCA Young Photographer Awards.
Two pictures taken by Alicia were short-listed by the judging panel, which was led by wildlife expert Chris Packham.
The first image, entitled Tracking, was of the family cocker spaniel Poppy as it came back from a walk.
However, it was the second picture, Best Friends, of Poppy and Alicia's sister on the Isle of Skye, that won the award.
Alicia won an Olympus camera.
