A TEENAGE girl, with the mental age of a seven-year-old, has gone missing from school.
Leigh Anne Arkley, 14, and from Wingate, County Durham, walked out of her school near Newton Aycliffe at 2.30pm yesterday and has not been seen since.
Police say they have urgent concern for Leigh Annes safety.
She has been missing before and is willing to take lifts from strangers and make her way to railway stations.
She has a boyfriend in Hartlepool, but police do not believe she has been there yet.
As well as her low mental age, Leigh Anne, who looks older than 14, also suffers from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression and has heart problems, for which she takes medication.
She is described as 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build and has brown hair, usually worn in a pony tail.
Leigh Anne was wearing a black Air Max jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and Air Max training shoes.
