SIX North-East gymnasts will make their latest television appearance tomorrow night (Friday, September 27).

Acropolis, based at Deerness Gymnastics Academy, will feature on A League of their Own, on Sky One at 9pm, when sporting celebrities will be asked to replicate some of their acrobatic gymnastics displays.

Coach Stuart Thompson said: “It was great for Acropolis and Deerness Gymnastics Academy to be approached by such a popular TV show and then appear alongside some sporting legends.

“Although gymnastics is hugely popular, acrobatics is a lesser-known discipline and it’s great to be able to showcase it to an audience of millions.”

The group, based in Ushaw Moor, County Durham, recently finished second in the French television talent contest The Best le Meilleur Artiste and last year won ITV1’s Let’s Get Gold.
