HERTFORDSHIRE golfer Seb Carmichael-Brown took the top honours at the William Hunt Trilby Tour final at Rockliffe Hall.

The final, held in the North for the first time in its seven-year history, was broadcast exclusively on Sky Sports yesterday (Wednesday, August 28) and Rockliffe Hall is now gearing up to host the Trilby Tour Matchplay, singles and pairs on Monday (September 2).

William Hunt, Trilby Tour founder was delighted at how the event went.

He said: “This year’s Trilby Tour Grand Final at Rockliffe Hall was a great success as it’s a fantastic venue with incredible facilities and offers one of the most challenging courses in the UK.”

Nick Holmes, managing director of Rockliffe Hall, added: “It’s a really exciting time for golf in the North East.

“We’re attracting hundreds of people from all over the UK and putting not just Rockliffe Hall, but also our region, on the map.”

Tickets are now sale for the English Senior Open to be held at Rockliffe Hall on October 6 to 7.

Among the names confirmed are Australia’s Peter Fowler, England’s Gary Wolstenholme and Scotland’s DJ Russell.
