THIEVES have targeted a haulage company near Bishop Auckland for the second time in a fortnight.
A dozen Michelin HGV tyres, worth £4,000, were stolen from High House Farm, in Butterknowle, between 6pm on Sunday and 4am on Monday. Diesel and a light bar for a Scania truck were also taken.
All the property belongs to T Linsley and Son Haulage, who also own the farm.
On November 22, thieves stole an Audi 100 car, a camera and a mobile phone from the same property and police believe the two incidents are connected.
A spokesman from Bishop Auckland Police said: "Owing principally to the size of the tyres, the thieves would have needed a large vehicle with them."
Anyone with any information is asked to call PC Peter Lonsdale at Bishop Auckland police on 0845-60-60-365.
