A TEENAGER whose life was saved by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) after she was involved in a road accident has thanked the service by taking part in a 10,000ft skydive to raise funds.
Anneka Rogers, an art and design student, is convinced the YAA's helicopter and crew played a key part in saving her life.
She said: "I was airlifted to York District Hospital in no time. I had internal injuries after being knocked down by a coach while crossing the road at Knapton, near Scarborough, and thrown 50ft in the air. Everyone tells me I was lucky to survive."
Anneka raised £500 for the YAA, thanks to her sponsors. "It was a great thrill and I'd happily do it again" said Anneka, from Malton.
