A NURSE who works tirelessly challenging the misconceptions and stigma surrounding mental health has had his dedication rewarded.
Lol Butterfield, who works for Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust based with the Ashwood Community Mental Health Team, Guisborough, east Cleveland, was a finalist in the national Care Services Improvement Partnership awards ceremony, in London.
He said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been highly commended for the award and proud that I was able to represent our trust in London.
"It provided me with an opportunity to raise awareness of the positive mental health promotion work we carry out in this region to a national audience. I am very grateful to my work colleagues for their continued support with this important issue."
