A WINTER one-stop shop will run in Newton Aycliffe next month to offer people advice about benefits, home energy grants and fire safety.
Two drop-in sessions will be held in a shop unit in the town centre next Tuesday and again on December 19, from 9am to 3pm.
Organisations involved in the County Durham Partnership Against Poverty will be on hand to give advice.
Anyone unable to visit the shop but who wants to make an application or find out more about housing or council tax benefit can contact Sedgefield Borough Council free on 0800-0280990.
For advice on social security benefits call Durham County Council's welfare rights advice line on 0191-370-8787.
