BEREAVED relatives are being given the chance to remember lost loved ones this Christmas.
Middlesbrough-based Teesside Hospice has unveiled its annual Tree of Life, in The Mall, Middlesbrough. People are given an opportunity to hang a bauble on the tree, in memory of a loved one, in exchange for a donation to the hospice.
The tree, now in its sixth year, was launched yesterday, with the help of children from Middlesbrough's Green Lane Primary School who sang Christmas carols.
It will remain in the mall until December 17. The baubles will be blessed at a service at St Barnabas' Church, in the town centre, the following day.
There is also a Tree of life at Teesside Crematorium, where baubles are available and donations can also be made.
