NORTH-EAST fashion designer Scott Henshall has told how he was proud of his jungle achievements and had never tackled anything as hard in his life.

Speaking to The Northern Echo yesterday, the outspoken Hartlepool guru said he had achieved everything he had set out to do - including facing creepy crawlies.

His Australian jungle experience came to an abrupt end when he was second to be voted off the ITV1 show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

"I obviously would have liked to stay longer, but that's how the game goes.

"It was all about getting my face known and introducing myself to the British public.

"My name is know for my work but not many people recognised me, so the publicity from the jungle is great."

Speaking from a hotel in Australia after being voted out of the jungle on Friday, Scott said it had been a fantastic experience.

"I did five trials and took part in things that I would never have believed I could do - like jumping from a plane. I tried my best in the trials and am proud of that.

"Everyone in Hartlepool was behind me 100 per cent. But when I first told them, they couldn't believe I wanted to do something like this.

"But it has been an amazing experience and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm just sorry I didn't stay a bit longer."

The 31-year-old, who studied at Northumbria University, will live it up in Australia until the final of the show on Sunday, when he will congratulate the winner.

Scott will return to the UK in time to launch his new range of jeans - Core. He also told The Northern Echo about future television deals, which will be on our screens in the New Year.
