A RIVER search is being carried out for a 69-year-old woman who went missing last night.

Carol Millman was last seen at her home in Egglescliffe, near Yarm last night.

She is believed to have left her address some time between 9.15pm and 1.20am.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "Officers have already carried out a search of the area, with the help of the dog section, roads policing colleagues and the air support unit.
"The Fire Brigade has also helped search the nearby river area with the use of their boat."

More searches will be undertaken today and members of the public are asked to look out for Mrs Millman, who is described as white, of slim build and with fair hair.

She usually wears gold stud earrings, a black strapped watch and gold engagement and wedding rings. There is no description available of her clothing apart from she is probably wearing flat black shoes.

Anyone who has seen her is asked to contact Cleveland Police immediately on 101.
