A MAN was airlifted to hospital this morning after being hit by a bus in Middlesbrough.
The man, in his 50s, was taken to the town's James Cook University Hospital following the incident at 11am.
An air ambulance spokesperson said the man sustained "very serious life threatening injuries" and was in a critical condition when he arrived at the hospital.
