THE family of a missing man have released a new photo of him in a bid to raise awareness of the investigation into his disappearance.

The photo of Tanveer Ahmed has been used on new posters that are being distributed by officers from Cleveland Police across Stockton.

However, it is believed that the 37-year-old may have more facial hair growth since he was went missing from Yarm Lane in Stockton in the early hours of Sunday, March 24.

Acting Detective Inspector Chris Barker said: “My message to people is study the photo of Tanveer Ahmed. We believe he will have grown thicker facial hair, even possibly a beard, since he went missing. Have you seen him, is there any information you can give to us?

“His family are extremely worried and we are doing everything possible in order to locate them.”

Police are continuing to speak with local residents and conduct further enquiries in order to trace him.

These enquiries include looking at CCTV footage, on which Tanveer was spotted on Riverside Road at around 4am on March 24.
