A FUNDRAISING campaign to send a seriously ill two-year-old girl for treatment in the US has been given a boost.
Parents Mark and Judith Roberts are trying to raise £12,000 to send their daughter Ava for PediaSuit treatment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The tot has brain damage and epilepsy but it is hoped the therapy will stimulate her development.
Now shoppers at Asda Living, at the Arnison Centre, in Pity Me, Durham City, have voted for Ava’s charity, Faith (For Ava’s Intensive Therapy Hope), to be one of three to benefit from the homeware store’s next period of fundraising.
Mrs Roberts, of Nettlesworth, near Chester-le-Street, said she was delighted.
The RSPCA’s Felledge Animal Centre, near Chester-le-Street, and Witton Gilbert Playgroup will also benefit.
