A public meeting for people in Delves Lane to discuss concerns about crime with police officers is being held at Helen McArdle Care Home, Greenways Court, Delves Lane, Consett.

It is on Wednesday March 20 from 6pm-7pm and the meeting will be attended by a representative from the neighbourhood policing team.

It will be specific to the area and individual neighbourhood priorities will be discussed. All members of the community are welcome.

EYES DOWN: Afternoon tea and prize bingo sessions are held at Age UK County Durham’s Resource Centre in Betjeman Close East Stanley on Wednesdays at 1.30pm.

FUN RUNNING: A community run is being held at 6pm on Thursdays from Oakey Park, Sunny Terrace, Stanley from April 11.

Stanley Run England is for everyone who wants to run and increase their fitness, and people can walk, jog or run, depending on their ability. The cost per session is £1. For more information contact group leader Alex Hulme on 0783-4977267.

CRAFT FAIR: An indoor craft fair is being held on Bank Holiday Monday, April 1, at Glenroyd House, Medomsly Road, Consett.

There will be handcrafted goods, gifts, original art, Fairtrade clothing, fresh foods, alternative therapies, upcycling, demonstrations and more by local businesses with something for all ages.

It is from 11am-4pm. Free entry and parking with disabled access.

GET CREATIVE: Age UK County Durham runs an informal watercolour class for the over 50's every fortnight on Thursdays 1pm-3pm at their Resource Room at Betjeman Close in East Stanley.

The cost is £2 per session, which includes materials. Refreshments available. The next session is on Thursday. Ring 01207-280119 for further details. LET’S DANCE: Simply Ballroom classes are being held at the Lamplights Arts Centre in Stanley on Tuesday March 26 at 7pm.
