A ONE-man passion play will be staged at a city church in the countdown to Easter.
Actor Mark Topping will perform the production Impossible God at St Nicholas’ Church, in Durham Market Place, on Monday, March 25.
The show is part of a nationwide tour.
The play features various characters reliving their experiences of Jesus.
It is adapted from a devotional book of the same title, written by Mr Topping’s father: author, actor, broadcaster and Methodist minister Frank Topping.
Mr Topping said: “The drama is a powerful exploration of events at the heart of Christianity.
“You are taken on an imaginative journey and challenged to look again at Jesus of Nazareth and reflect on what it might all mean.”
The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £3, can be bought from St Nicholas’ Church office between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday or by calling 0191-384-1180.
