A NEW events management company has been formed to take over running of Sunderland International Airshow and other public events on Wearside.
Sunderland Live will operate as a local authority company to deliver events on behalf of the city council.
It is also tasked with developing an expanded programme of public activities and attractions to be staged in the city, while seeking to bring in commercial sponsorship and other forms of funding.
The council’s existing events team will transfer to the new company when it begins trading on April 1.
