FORMER talent show star Olly Murs proved he still has the X-Factor when he performed in the North-East tonight (Tuesday, February 26).
The Essex-born singer-songwriter, who was runner-up in The X-Factor in 2009, wowed fans at the Metro Radio Arena, in Newcastle.
The 28-year-old, who has sold more than five million records worldwide, emerged on the stage accompanied by a ten-piece band and wearing black suit with white trainers.
Going for the popular vote from the off, he began with the hit 'Dance With Me', inviting all those of the female persuasion to join him.
He then embarked on 'I've Tried Everything', ensuring both he and the audience were thoroughly warmed up before peforming other tracks from his hit albums 'In Case You Didn't Know' and 'Right Place, Right Time'.
Murs is due to pn the The Graham Norton Show on Friday (March 1). His tour of the UK and Ireland continues until June, including a date in Middlesbrough Centre Square on June 7.
