BAND NIGHT: A Band night will be held at Willington Cricket Club on Friday (February 1) to raise money for the Durham Cricket Board’s girls’ team’s trip to a tournament in Dubai. The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £2 on the door.

CANDLE MASS: A candle mass coffee morning will be held at St James’ Church in Coundon between 10am and noon on Saturday (February 2) featuring a raffle and tombola. Entry is by donation to raise money for the Under the Roof Appeal.

REPORTER TALK: Mark Tallentire, the Local Government reporter for the Northern Echo and Assistant Editor of the Durham Times will speak about his work as a journalist at a meeting at 7.15pm on Monday (February 4) in the Churches Together Centre at Hamsterley.
