FUN-seekers took one last opportunity to enjoy the snow before it melted – by sliding down slopes in bathtubs.
The group in Crook, County Durham, took to the hills with six tubs for an afternoon of thrills and spills, and now they hope to make it an annual event.
Lorry driver Paul Stothard was given the unwanted tubs and quickly discovered there ability to slide in the snow.
He and a group of friends then spent Saturday afternoon sliding down Dowfold Hill in Crook.
Photographer Shaun Stoker captured the afternoon on his camera and said: “It’s a very unusual way of getting down a hill but it worked a treat.
“It was so much fun that we have now put the baths in storage and are planning a proper session when it next snows.”
Among the tub-sliders was George Clarke, landlord of the Queen’s Head pub in Crook, who celebrated his 50th birthday the day before.
