A MAN has been taken to hospital with face, neck and back injuries after an accident on Teesside earlier today.
The motorist, believed to be in his 60s, was cut out of the Renault Clio he was driving by firefighters following the accident at the junction of Tees Road and Elizabeth Way in Seaton Carew, shortly after 9am.
The Great North Air Ambulance flew in a doctor who assessed his injuries before the man was taken to hospital.
Only one vehicle was involved in the collision. The road was closed while police investigated the accident.
