POLICE have launched an investigation after a man was hurt in a stabbing incident early today, (Saturday, January 13).
Police were originally called to the scene in Richmond’s Market Place for what was reported to be a two-vehicle accident at 7.55am.
However when they arrived they discovered there had been an assault in which a 22-year-old man from Staffordshire had suffered a stab wound.
However his injury was not serious and a local man, aged 40, was arrested.
A police spokesman said their inquires were continuing.
