A COUNTY Durham pair appeared before magistrates today (Wednesday, December 19) charged with stealing car keys and a car from a property in Ferryhill.
Anthony Steven Kirkland, 23, of Hawthorne Terrace, West Cornforth, and Sharnie Louise Rank, of Mainsforth Road, Ferryhill, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court by video link.
Both were charged in relation to a burglary, which occurred at a house on Osbourne Terrace on June 8.
Mr Kirkland also faces charges of possessing cannabis, aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, drink driving and assaulting two police officers.
All of the offences are also alleged to have occurred on June 8.
Rank pleaded guilty to the burglary charge. Mr Kirkland did not enter a plea.
The pair were remanded in custody and will appear at Durham Crown Court on Friday, November 21.
