TWO women have expressed their delight after winning iPad Mini tablets courtesy of The Northern Echo.

More than 800 people entered the competition to win one of two iPad Minis and the winners received their prizes today.

Lynne Todd, of Merz Road, in Newton Aycliffe, and Joanne Fawcett, from Willington, said they were delighted to have their new 16GB gadgets in time for Christmas.

Ms Todd said: “I am amazed - I don’t normally enter competitions but I fancied an iPad Mini so went for it. I shall be entering a lot more now.”

Ms Fawcett, who lives on Dovedale Avenue, is a bus driver and said she plans to keep all her music on her new device.

She said: “I am delighted - I cannot believe I have won.

“My 32-year-old son was eyeing it up but it’s definitely mine.

“I want to use it mainly for my music.”

To win, entrants had to tell us which company makes the iPad.

The answer was Apple.
