A TRAINING company’s donation will help an air ambulance keep flying .

Profound Services, in Peterlee, County Durham, is giving use of its executive box at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light for the Boxing Day match against Manchester City to The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) for its fund-raising.

The 12-seat executive box offers a £3,000 hospitality package that includes a three- course meal for guests and GNAAS hopes there will be plenty interest from football fans who want to support its work.

Company managing director Steven Ward said: “Christmas time is a time for giving, why not give the gift of football to such a precious cause.

“The GNAAS provide a vital service to the region, if our gift can help them to raise important funds for the service then this is fantastic news.”

GNAAS deputy director Mandy Drake said: “The sale of this generous gift will raise more funds to help keep the GNAAS in the skies this coming year.

“A gift of this value will provide hours of lifesaving flying, which is brilliant.

“As a charity we require over £4m to stay operational and this will go some way to helping us save more lives. Thank you Profound Services.”
