CHORAL CONCERT: The Bishop Auckland Choral Society will hold their Christmas concert at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Friday (December 14). Tickets cost £7 for adults, £5 concessions and £3 for children from 01388-834359 or 01388-747621 or on the door, and the performance starts at 7.30pm. The society will be joined by Forte, the choir from St John’s Secondary School in the town.
FESTIVE ORGAN: Keith Beckingham will play a mixture of festive tunes on the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre Organ at the New Victoria Centre in Howden-le-Wear near Crook, County Durham, at 7pm on Saturday (December 15). Tickets cost £6 from David Kirkbride on 01388-762467.
CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL: A Christmas fair which last year attracted more than 5,000 people will be held at the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, County Durham, between 10am and 4pm on Saturday (December 15). Entry is free and attractions will include more than 100 stalls and music from local choirs.
