A WOMAN has been knocked down while using a pedestrian crossing.
High Street in Stanley was closed by police following the incident at 4.30pm today (Wednesday, December 12).
Durham Constabulary said she was struck by a silver Vauxhall Omega, near Stanley Library.
Police said it was too early to say what the extent of her injuries are but an ambulance was called to the scene.
