POLICE investigating a burglary and theft of a cash machine from Scorton post office have arrested a Bishop Auckland man.
The 18-year-old was arrested yesterday in connection with the incident, which occurred at around 1.15am on Thursday, October 18.
He has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
Detective Inspector Darrin Knight, of Northallerton CID, said: “This is very much a live investigation. If you have any information about the theft of the cash machine I urge you to come forward and contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.”
