From Penrith town centre head northward through the town and at Townhead turn right up the hill onto Salkeld Road, following the signs for Lazonby and then for Kirkoswald. At the head of Kirkoswald's main street, follow the B6413 round to the right and continue for 3 miles to Croglin.
