BACK to the First World War - and a moving story. All eight Beechey brothers, from Lincolnshire, went to fight.
Only three returned. Of the five who died, two have no known grave. Already widowed at the start of the conflict, the devastated mother lived on until 1936. Possibly the war's biggest family tragedy, the story has only recently been pieced together, chiefly from family material, including hundreds of letters sent from the war by the brothers. Poignant, yet uplifting.
