Spennymoor skipper Chris Mason looks ahead to a busy schedule for Moors -- and advises manager Jason Ainsley to keep hold of his mobile.

We’re going to have a busy week next week!

We were due to play New Mills last Monday night, but the match was postponed just after lunchtime because of a waterlogged pitch, so that gave the gaffer enough time to organise a training session.

Instead, the game has been re-arranged for this Wednesday, which means that we’re going to have three trips in the space of eight days.

We’re at Salford this Saturday, at home to Harrogate RA on Monday, at New Mills Wednesday and at Bamber Bridge next Saturday. So it’s a week that will make or break our season.

But we’re used to play a lot of games in a short period of time, it’s always been like that whenever I’ve been at Spennymoor. I can remember after we won the Vase, we played Shildon on the Bank Holiday Monday morning, then Bishop in the County Cup final and a league game on the Saturday.

The game at Salford is huge, and one that we must win if we intend to win the title. We played them earlier in the season and did well against them, drawing 1-1, and we’re playing well at the moment, going into every game full of confidence.

I hope the gaffer doesn’t lose his phone again. He lost it in the changing rooms before last Saturday’s game, but he managed to find it later. He was adamant that he hadn’t sent any tweets before the game, but the rest of us have seen loads on Twitter!
