The simple simplicity
Of a twinkling star
As I gaze upwards
They shine from afar.
A curly coated dog
Longing just to play
“Tis oft” the small things
That bless me on my way.
The inside of a snowdrop
The first crocus to appear
Wonders of creation
Announcing spring is near.
Have you noticed the design
‘Pon a dunnocks wings?
Experienced the joy
Their uniqueness brings.
A shell beautifully formed
Found upon a beach
Sea horses ‘pon the waves
Dancing out of reach.
Hidden treasures all around
Cause our hearts to sing
As with open ears and eyes
We enjoy the joy they bring.
So many, many gifts
Given free with Father’s love
Everywhere we go
On earth, sea or sky above.
