FORMER League Of Gentleman member Steve Pemberton is writing one of the episodes in the newly-commissioned fourth series of ITV1 drama Whitechapel.
He stars with Rupert Penry- Jones and Phil Davis in the series, which is written by Ben Court and Caroline Ip.
Pemberton will pen the middle story of the three and “will bring his own unique injection of dark wit and humour to the brand”.
The original three-part serial of Whitechapel, which looks at historically inspired crimes, debuted on February 2009 with overnight ratings reaching 8.13m viewers. A second serial in September that year put the focus on the infamous Kray twins, Ronnie and Reggie. A third series followed last year.
