RAY LaMontagne has the kind of vocal delivery that could melt even the hardest woman’s exterior.
Hear his voice once and it will live with you for a lifetime. Moody, melancholic and drawn out, words blend seamlessly into each other and allied to some authentic slide guitar playing, it makes for an album that’s just about perfect for a quiet night in by the fire.
The opening track, Repo Man, sets the bar high and while some songs never quite reach the same standard, God Willin’ has enough going for it to make it a worthy addition to any record collection.
